Wednesdays with Patrick...on Tuesday ;)

Patrick

Manolo Blahniks. We both agreed how much nicer the shoe is in a chocolate brown.

The perfect pant length for khakis. I asked who he goes to and he said, "darling I have my ways." Love it.

Saturday @ Rock Center

I was walking through Rock Center this morning on my way to teach and I saw this beautiful older couple holding hands like they were 13 years old. Unfortunately, I hesitated and didn't get a pic of the two of them walking. Ugh! so much beauty, humor, ______ (fill in the blank) is lost in hesitation. I did however get a pic of the woman's vivid and inspired ensemble.

I asked her where she got her poncho. She said she was traveling through Pennsylvania and stopped in a thrift shop. The instant she saw it she knew it was hers. Who can relate?

....so you can see the details. Poking out from beneath the poncho on the left is a needle-point Virgin Mary purse. I only saw this little gem after i took the pic.

i was running to class so i couldn't stop her to get a front view of the ensemble, but as you can tell from the back she had a nice take on things....brown loafers, black tights, over-sized coat (love the zippers), and the leather strappy bag.

The kicks:

WEDNESDAY Tap and Guu-one-ton-amera ;) "Guantanamera"

Every Wednesday I teach tap at the National Arts Club. It is a joy and and honor to have the great spirited students I do.

As usual I saw my dapper Patrick. He is a tap dancer of exceptional style and grace. Think Fred Astaire (he doesn't care for Gene Kelley....which is alright because i gots enuf love for him).

Later that night Dad and I checked out Pedro Martinez in midtown at "Guantanamera" on 8th ave between 55th and 56th streets. Great spot to head for lively (not loud!) music. Energy, intensity, yummy food (though, btw, the price of the food includes cover).
